You can track your usage in the 'my account' page at wireless.att.com, or in the 'My Wireless' AT&T app for the iPhone.

I use a Netgear MBR264GU with my mac. It's less portable, but much easier. Nevertheless, I did follow these instructions on one of my laptops for train / plane trips where I want to carry less gear around.

Nice application ! I love Google products. I use Google calendar to send myself an SMS each Wednesday night to remind me to put out the garbage and I use Gmail to back up my business emails.

I have an forwarder on my hosting that forwards all incoming emails to a Gmail account and in Thunderbird I have it set to send a copy of all outgoing emails to the same account.

I can't believe how often I use the Gmail search facility to find stuff I've lost, usually receipts and passwords.

when i connect with this procedure i do not get 3g it seems. I did a speed test using this method and then using the globetrotter software and there is a 3 times slower speed difference. What is wrong?

Just picked up a Quicksilver modem and couldn't get the Globetrotter software to work. Your solution worked right away. I cannot thank you enough! Can't believe that AT&T can't adopt this solution for themselves.

Thank you for posting this article. I had no luck getting help from AT&T, Apple, and option. Your solution works pretty good on Mac Book Air and I now have Continuous connection.

Thanks again,

That is bizarre! Maybe you succeeded in accidentally doing an sql injection!

Anyway, you should always make sure you're running the latest version of WP - for security reasons, apart from anything else. And, as you've no doubt realised now, 2.7 is so much easier to update!
